Hugh Noble, Artist
Born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, Hugh immigrated to Canada with his family at age five, settling in Toronto. He attended school in Toronto and majored in architectural and graphic design.
Working as a graphic designer and photographer in Toronto and Ottawa, he spent many years in project and design management. From 1984 to 1996 he owned and managed a design and marketing firm in Ottawa. Moving to Victoria in 1996 Hugh built a design and marketing consulting business.
During his career, Hugh has had an opportunity to develop a variety of skills; designing and building 3D models and displays; creating illustrations and designing numerous corporate identities, brochures and websites. He is a professional member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.
His photographic experience includes; creative, industrial and a significant personal collection of B&W and colour photographs, both film based and digital.
Hugh devotes part of his time working on creative projects in mixed media in his studio overlooking Cordova Bay.
